Become a Champion

Our new Champions membership is a great way to support the Book Festival. As a Champion, you can enjoy some exclusive benefits while also making a generous contribution to the Festival.
 
Champions get an extra day's Advance Booking before Friends to buy tickets before they go on public sale. Advance Booking ticket allocation* for Champions is three times as high as it is for Friends. Champions can also take advantage of priority queuing for our main theatre and your support will be acknowledged publicly on our Festival site and website.
 
Income from our individual supporters plays a vital part in delivering the Book Festival each year. Your contribution as a Champion will help to secure our future, and will ensure that we can continue to invite writers from all over the world to provide joy and intellectual stimulation. You will also help to support the outreach work we do with local community groups and young people, and will help us to make the Festival accessible to as many people as possible. 

 

 

A Champions membership costs £480 per year (or £40.00 per monthly direct debit) and lasts for one year from the date of purchase. You will be sent a reminder to renew your membership over a month before it is due to expire.
 
Memberships last for one year from the date of purchase and you will be sent a reminder to renew your annual membership over a month before it is due to expire. If you choose to pay by Direct Debit, your membership will renew automatically, unless you tell us otherwise. We aim to send out confirmation letters and membership cards within couple of weeks after your renewal.

If you're based in the USA and would like to support the Book Festival at Champions level, we are able to facilitate tax-deductible giving via the Chapel & York US Foundation.
