If you love coming to the Edinburgh International Book Festival, you'll love being a Friend. By buying a membership you can show your support for the world’s largest celebration of the written word, while receiving Advance Booking privileges and many other benefits, such as discounts and priority programme brochure mailing, plus invitations to special events (Quiz Night, Christmas event) for our Friends and supporters throughout the year. Our Friends are also among the first to hear the latest Book Festival news.
 

 

A Friends membership costs £60 and lasts for one year from the date of purchase. You will be sent a reminder to renew your annual membership over a month before it is due to expire.
 
Gift Memberships
 
If you would like to purchase a Friends membership as a gift, please do so over the phone by calling our Development team on 0131 718 5653. You can also call this number if you wish to purchase a membership for yourself.

*Please note: It is our policy to ensure that a proportion of tickets remain available for members of the general public when public booking opens. The number of tickets available to Friends during the Advance Booking period is therefore limited and all tickets are subject to availability.
