On Humour: Andrew O'Hagan

Those familiar with Andrew O’Hagan will know his work is shot through with humour. Take Mayflies for instance – undoubtedly a heartbreaking novel, it’s also hilarious, full of wit and mischief. His new novel Caledonian Road walks a similar high wire, not to mention his uproariously funny and often highly arch columns. Continuing our series on the cornerstones of what makes us human, O’Hagan talks about the multifaceted role laughter plays in our lives.
