Corruption, crime, and compromise: Book Festival favourite Louise Welsh returns with To the Dogs, her 10th novel since her 2002 debut, The Cutting Room (Most Inspiring Saltire First Book Award winner by public vote in 2018). Welsh talks to Peggy Hughes about her darkly comic new thriller featuring a University of Glasgow professor whose career, family, and reputation are threatened when details of his past come to light.
