Lone Tree

In an exclusive commission for the Book Festival, award-winning composer David Paul Jones has taken Makar Kathleen Jamie’s incredible back catalogue of poems and set them to music in an utterly original, haunting performance of new work for voice and small ensemble. Heralded as “a pianist, singer and composer of immense lyrical talent and depth” by The Scotsman, he presents this truly mesmerising work in a pair of one-off performances. Not to be missed.

Ensemble:

David Paul Jones - Vocals, Piano & Electronics
Fay Guiffo - Violin
Justyna Jablonska - Cello
Sound by Gabriel Kemp

Another performance of 'Lone Tree' is available on 23 August.
