Literary Brazil: World Book Capital 2025

Step into the world of Brazilian literature with renowned authors Jeferson Tenório and Itamar Vieira Junior. This year, Rio joins Edinburgh in the City of Literature network and prepares for its role as the upcoming World Book Capital in 2025. Join us for a vibrant celebration of literature as we bring Scottish writers and literary figures together with their Brazilian counterparts and explore the cultural significance of story in both cultures, and the exciting prospects these new connections hold for global literature.

A British Council Global Conversation event, to build connections, understanding and trust. With thanks also to Instituto Guimarães Rosa, Consulate General of Brazil in Edinburgh.
