Booker-longlisted author of Night Boat to Tangier, Kevin Barry returns to the Festival with The Heart in Winter: a savagely funny, tragi-romantic tale set in the Wild West about young lovers on the run. The Irish writer talks about the novel that was 25 years in the making: a work where his lyricism, humour, and knack for tapping into his characters’ psyches are all powerfully on display. Chaired by Sasha De Buyl-Pisco.
