The Scots language has been growing in popularity in schools and it’s easy to see why: it’s a playful approach to language that encourages a love of words, reading, and writing. Get inspired with James Robertson – poet, novelist and translator – as he offers top tips for incorporating Scots into the classroom. There will be the chance to hear from other learning professionals, and Robertson will share the ethos behind Itchy Coo Publishing: an imprint he co-founded which translates bestselling children’s books into Scots. Titles include The Gruffalo’s Wean, A Series of Scunnersome Events, and Roald Dahl’s Reekin Rhymes.
