John Burnside: Ruin, Blossom

This event is sadly cancelled due to the recent passing of John Burnside.

John was an esteemed writer of poems, short stories, memories, academic works and much more. He was a great friend of the Festival, will be missed by many, and we hope to find ways to celebrate his life and work this August.

Last year, John Burnside won the prestigious David Cohen Prize in recognition of a lifetime’s achievement in literature. His remarkable new collection Ruin, Blossom reflects upon the fragility of our world, and the new life left in the wake of destruction. Join us as poet Marjorie Lotfi explores his collection, and a life in letters.
