Jen Hadfield, Amy Liptrot & Roseanne Watt: Personal Geologies

A rare and lovely occasion to celebrate the writing of Orkney and Shetland. Recent Windham-Campbell Prize-winner Jen Hadfield’s work sings of the flotsam and jetsam of the Shetland archipelago; Orkney plays a pivotal role in Amy Liptrot’s beautiful memoir, The Outrun; and the Shetlandic dialect weaves throughout Roseanne Watt’s poetry and film, conjuring land and sea. They reflect on how the islands have shaped them as writers – and as people.
