Inside Out: Water (Activity)

Join authors Fiona Stafford and Max Leonard for a hike around some of Edinburgh's most ancient sites, led by geologist Angus Miller. Amidst the spectacular scenery of Holyrood Park, we'll look at the ways in which the city's landscapes have been moulded by ice and water, and learn more about the forces that shape the ground beneath our feet.

25 places available. This activity should be suitable for anyone who hikes or walks regularly. There will be a qualified leader present, but participants must take responsibility for their own safety, dress appropriately, and carry whatever equipment they might expect to need.

Angus Miller is a geologist and educator, who has been guiding people around the landscapes of Scotland for over 20 years.

Look for the twinned ‘Inside Out: Water’ event on Saturday 24 August where you can hear Max Leonard and Fiona Stafford in conversation about water's impact on our past and future, as explored in their latest books.
