When did you last gaze at the night sky? In this inspiring double-bill, Emily Chappell interviews authors who’ve learned to embrace the wonder of night. Drawing on science and stories from women throughout history, Annabel Abbs’ Sleepless tells how a period of bereavement led the writer to discover her ‘Night Self’. Jaqueline Yallop’s Into the Dark examines our shifting relationship with darkness, looking to art, science, philosophy, and her own life.
Look for the twinned ‘Inside Out: Sky’ event later where you can embrace your own Night Self and take a night walk with the authors (Limited tickets available).
